September and have a look, please feel free at any time. You'll find the club in use most
afternoons, evenings or weekends. There is plenty of seating around the green for
spectators-after all, what could be more relaxing on a warm summer's afternoon than
watching a game of bowls? Remember, visitors are welcome.
Playing Opportunities Generally there are friendly matches on Saturday for the Men, Mixed matches on Sunday and Ladies matches Monday against other local clubs. The ladies compete in the Berkshire RIDGEWAY League and the men in the Berkshire KL and KLX Leagues.
Facilities Our six-rink green is one of the finest Greens in the area,
and our clubhouse and bar offers a friendly welcome and excellent facilities for our bowling
and social members.
If you wish to try your hand at bowls, you'll need to be accompanied
by a playing member and pay the appropriate Green Fee. The best thing to do is to contact
the Secretary or
one of the Club Officals, who will arrange for you to have an introductory session.
Club bowls, shoes, mats and jacks are available for beginner bowlers to use.
New bowlers are encouraged to take some instruction - coaching sessions can be arranged,
and you'll always find other bowlers prepared to offer guidance and encouragement.
Coaching sessions for beginners are held on Fridays from 6:00pm during May but they have
to be booked by the coaches.
If you wish to join the Club you will need to complete an
application form also available from the
Secretary.
